Experience

Erica Wang advises companies on corporate operations, strategic transactions, employment, compliance, intellectual property, and commercial disputes, with particular experience in life sciences and matters involving the United States and China.
With more than 25 years in the legal field, Erica has worked at global law firms and held senior in-house positions at multinational and biotechnology companies. Her experience in private practice and in-house roles informs her approach: understanding the business objective, identifying legal risks, and providing practical advice that clients can put into action.

Experience

Erica founded Veritas Law in Boston in 2024. Before establishing the firm, she served as Global General Counsel of TandemAI, an AI-enabled drug discovery platform company, overseeing its legal, compliance, and intellectual property matters. She continues to advise the company.
Her previous in-house roles include:

  • General Counsel, 3M Greater China Area
  • Assistant General Counsel, 3M Global Legal Affairs
  • Global General Counsel, Innovent Biologics
Earlier in her career, Erica spent a combined seven years as an Associate Attorney at Simmons & Simmons and Baker McKenzie.
Recognition and Professional Activities
Erica received the 2023 Most Influential General Counsel Award from Chambers and Partners.
She serves as an arbitrator with the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Delaware through its joint college program with the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China.
Erica also serves on the board of the Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association’s New England Chapter and participates in nonprofit and professional activities in the United States and China. She has helped plan events for the Boston Chinese Investment Club, the University Forum (formerly the Harvard Forum), and other nonprofit organizations.
She has spoken at legal events and startup financing forums and lectured on legal topics for Cheung Kong’s EMBA program. She has also written legal articles for LexisNexis and participated in interviews with financial media outlets.
